To sleep or not to sleep
I just returned from a friend's house in Luzern where we watched the replay of Game 3 on NASN, the North American Sports Network. I was able to get through Sunday morning without hearing about last night's score. Not that the Swiss-Germans are running through the streets shouting Game 3's results.
Tonight is going to be tough. I'll be hanging out with people watching the Patriots on NASN. But can I stay up basically all night to catch Game 4 and the potential sweep?
Well, first of all, I'm all thrown off. I'm still a bit jet-lagged plus Europe set its clocks back last night, one week earlier than the U.S. So really I'm just 5 hours ahead at the moment which means the Pats game will start at 9:15pm. However the Sox won't start until 1:30am. UGH. What's a displaced Sox fan to do? Did I mention this is killing me?

Will it be a repeat of 2004?
Let's see, is this going to be a repeat of 2004? Well, 0.0001% of me hopes not because I'm in Europe for work through Game 4 and it kills me that I have to catch up with the highlights the morning after. Sure, I could wake up at 2:30am every night to keep up, but there's no televised version here so it's a matter of breaking my thumb scrolling through the box score on my phone's tiny screen.
Meh...there's always the DVD version if things turn out in our favor. GO SOX!

Comin' down the mountain
We spent yesterday in the crisp New Hampshire air hiking down Mount Sunapee with a few friends. We had the option of hiking up and down, or take a one-way Sky Ride, otherwise known as the quad chairlift. We got there late in the day so our only option was to ride up and hike down. Y'know it's more difficult hiking down? You find muscles you didn't have and, if you're like me, you slip once or twice on those double black diamonds.

Here's George!
Years have gone by since I last set eyes on a Where's George bill. Where's George? was started almost 10 years ago by a friend of a friend with the fun idea of tracking the travels of U.S. bills online. When it first launched, I got a stamp and stamped a bunch of my bills and once or twice I encountered someone else's Where's George bill while getting change somewhere.
I haven't thought about Where's George in a few years, until I was at a wedding a couple weeks ago when I got a $10 bill as change with the familiar red stamp on it. A few hours later, in a different place, I saw another one! Who knew that Ludlow, MA was the epicenter of Where's George bills? I registered my bill, which traveled from Lynnfield to me, and now it's been passed off to Chris who may or may not have already used it. You can call me Aaron Burr from the way I was droppin' Hamiltons.
Oh yeah, and happy 4 years to Nervous Music.
